A FORMER top US college football coach is facing life behind bars after being found guilty of 45 child sex charges.
Jerry Sandusky, 68, who pleaded not guilty to -abusing ten boys over 15 years, is expected to appeal against the convictions which carry combined -sentences of up to 450 years.
His arrest led to the -president of Penn State University, Pennsylvania, and his immediate boss and coaching legend Joe -Paterno being fired amid claims they failed to act on reports of abuse.
The university could now face multi-million dollar civil lawsuits from victims.
Attorney General Linda Kelly described Sandusky as a “serial predator” who committed “horrific acts”.
